The Robert Muller School Community Vision

Education for the 21st century has become the seed for social and cultural renewal.
It is the most effective means we have as a society in transforming ourselves through new ways of thinking, relating, and learning.

Human development occurs within a culture of participation and shared responsibility towards promoting the greater good for individuals, societies, and our natural environment for generations to come.

Nationally, community-based learning environments are replacing hierarchical school systems. As a community-based learning environment, we all become participants in an educational process. We are not mere consumers of an educational product. Learning communities promote lifelong learning, specifically because they promote self-directed, flexible, ongoing collaboration between all participants - Students, Parents, and Teachers in order to self-organize around value based educational objectives.

We need to learn to embrace our diversity, become co-learners, and work co-operatively, to create a learning environment founded on:
• A cohesive set of values
• Built from a consensus of perspectives
• Communicated broadly
• Implemented with commitment
