Parental Involvement

Parent - Teacher Conferences
Formal parent-teacher conferences are held twice a year. This is an important time to discuss the growth and development of your child. Both parents are encouraged to attend.

Although only two formal conferences are set up during the school year, please feel free to contact your child's teacher at any time to set up additional meetings. Let us know immediately of any problems at school or personal stresses in your child's life that require our special love and focused attention.

Family Nights
Family Night is a chance for the children to share things they have been learning in the classroom, and for the older children to perform plays, music, and dance. Family nights are typically scheduled twice a year, once in the fall, and once in the spring. Please make every attempt to attend these events, as the children work very hard to prepare.

In December, the "Festival of Lights" is an evening event for school families. This will be a joyful, reverent occasion to honor the sacredness of life and the holiday season.

Additionally, the Elementary classes have an evening Science Fair where the children present their science projects to the school families. The Science Fair is typically held in early spring.

Parent - Teacher Group

For those parents who would like to be more involved, monthly parent teacher meetings provide a forum for you to bring your energy and ideas to help benefit the school.

The parent-teacher group meetings are run by parents and include discussions on improving parent involvement in the school. Parents form committees to help raise funds for school needs, promote the school within our community, and help serve parent and teacher needs.

This is a school wide forum that is integral to our RMS community. Committee chairs will discuss and come to consensus on development, needs and progress within the committees and for the community. Please see our calendar for details.

Elementary Student Newspaper
Students in the Upper Elementary periodically publish a newspaper to help communicate school happenings to the parents and families of Robert Muller School of Fairview. Photos and story ideas are welcomed, and can be dropped off in the specified folder in the Upper Elementary building.
